What’s been happening this month?

The month started off well with a sunny visit to Hughenden Manor in Buckinghamshire.

However, on the way home from our day out I had a bit of an accident on my scooter :(

She’s still with the insurer for repairs which means my plans to escape London on the weekends have been thwarted somewhat however I did still manage to hop on the back of my boyfriend’s motorcycle and visit Penshurst Place and Gardens in Kent. Riding on the back of a sports bike is probably the most uncomfortable form of transport I’ve ever experienced so I’m desperate to get my scooter back ASAP!

I saw Adele perform at The O2 and it was a fantastic show! I feel like the effort I put in to secure tickets was well worth it.

We didn’t travel anywhere for the Easter long weekend as we have another holiday coming up very soon. Good Friday was brilliantly sunny and could have almost be considered warm so I took advantage of the good weather and finally made the trip across London to see the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (or Neasden Temple as it is also known).

In the evening we went to see the live recording of The Last Leg and be in the studio audience. The show is hosted by Australian comedian Adam Hills so it was nice to have a little taste of home.

On Easter Sunday we took a tour of the unused tunnels in Charing Cross station. I’ve been surprisingly organised and have written a full blog post on this which is scheduled to go live while I’m away on holiday.

Looking ahead to April

As I mentioned earlier we have an exciting trip coming up next week. I’m keeping tight-lipped on the details for now but all will be revealed very soon!

I don’t really have much planned for the later half of the month as yet. Fingers crossed by then I will have my scooter back and can plan some more weekend adventures!

I hope you had a great March! Do you have any exciting plans for April?
