I recently stumbled across A Lady in London’s challenge to visit 90 countries before she turned 30. I think this is such a brilliant idea and I would love to undertake a similar challenge. Unfortunately 90 isn’t a realistic number for me - I work full time (not in the travel industry) and I’ve recently turned 29 so time is running short.
As it currently stands I have visited 30 countries, and will be able to add 2 more to this list over the next month. (That is, if Cayman Islands counts as a country? I hope it does!)
Here’s the list so far:
- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Czech Republic
- New Zealand
- United Kingdom
- United States of America
- Vatican City
This doesn’t include airport stopovers, otherwise I could also add Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Latvia and Thailand to the list.
If I were to reach 40 countries before turning 30, I will need to visit at least one new country per month. Not a completely unreasonable expectation, although I have crossed off a lot of European countries already so this is going to get tricky towards the end.
I already have some countries in mind to add to this list - Hungary, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Canada to name a few. Can you suggest any others?
