I already have a couple of trips planned for the start of the year but with a bucket list a mile long I’m finding it difficult to narrow down some holiday destinations for 2015. I’ve still got 25 days of annual leave to plan in addition to bank holidays and I intend to make the most of it. Here is a peek at what’s at the top of my wishlist for this year.
Seeing more of the UK
I sometimes focus on trying to see new countries and forget there are still many areas of the UK that are worth visiting. At the top of my list are Cornwall, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Peak District.
I desperately want to visit Ljubljana and Lake Bled. I haven’t yet figured out when I might be able to fit in a trip to Slovenia but I hope I will be able to visit this year.
USA and Bahamas
Orlando is one place in the US that I haven’t ticked off my bucket list yet. I want to spend some time exploring the theme parks, in particular The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. I’d also like to combine this trip with a visit to The Bahamas or a Caribbean island for some SCUBA diving.
Summer holiday in Santorini
I’ve visited Santorini once before as part of a Greek Island cruise but only got to spend a few hours on the island. In the short time I was there I fell in love with the beautiful town of Oia and I want to go back and spend a few days exploring the island, soaking up the sun and watching those amazing sunsets.
Christmas in Lapland
I’ve still yet to have a magical white Christmas and Lapland would be the perfect place to experience this. I want to see visit Santa’s home, ride a sleigh, sleep in an ice hotel and see the Northern Lights!
